| Why in the world would you want to know about me? In a world ruled by the average middle class poverty stricken ordinary non descript white guys, I'm barely a sparkle in the sea of everyday lives. I'm not ashamed of it, for the first step to beating a habit is by accepting it. Average is a disease, like If we're going to get into bed together, metaphorically speaking of course, you should probably know something about me I suppose. I wasn't born as Alexander Quinn, so why am I using it to sign off on? Two reasons. The first is patricidal hate. I couldn't stand being a junior and I’ve no love for the man who's name I carry. Thus, I tossed it away. The second reason? My first name was the third most common on the planet. Remember now, I'm trying to overcome the sickness of being average. You can not do that while being "Bob". To my close friends I may always be Bob, but to you, no. Call me Quinn, or Xander or even Wildfire. So why am I here? Networking? I don’t even know what that means. The all powerful and mysterious “Tom” just sticks it on every Myspace page I’ve ever seen. Friends? Sure. Who doesn’t want friends? I’d like to make some new ones, but hell, I’ll settle for reconnecting with the ones I lost over the years. Dating? Come on? I’m married! Besides, who comes to Myspace for dating? Thats why they invented Adult Friend Finder people! No, I came here to promote myself. I’m a writer, and I want you to know my name and read my work. I learned to write before I learned to live, which is probably a bad way to start off life, but it's in the past now. Someday, in the future, it won't matter. You'll stand in line at Barnes & Noble to get a copy of my book signed, and I'll smile up at you, scribble something close to being vulgar in your book, and the past will be about as important as ash. Novels, short stories and poetry; those are my weapons in the battle to end my normalcy and achieve something that shines out to men and women of every race and culture across all of history. I want my name to be recorded in the annuals of history, even if only stamped on the binding of a single book. |
